Meet the Potter!
Michael Vierheller discovered clay in 2018 and never looked back. The first time he sat at a potter’s wheel, something clicked (or maybe spun) and what began as a hobby quickly became a full-blown obsession. With no formal training, Michael took the long road: self-teaching through trial, error, and a whole lot of claytastrophies.
His first studio was a humble 10x20 shed, barely enough room to turn around without bumping into a shelf (or a mug that hadn’t quite made it). But it was a start, and more importantly, it kept the dream alive. In 2023, after moving into a new home with his wife and kids, Michael began building the next chapter: a 20x30 backyard studio, shaded by a black walnut tree and complete with all the essentials — pottery wheels, a kiln, slab roller, drying racks, worktables, and, most critically….air conditioning!
Though still a work in progress, the studio is already full of life and clay dust. It's not just a space for making pots; it’s a place to slow down, try something new, and maybe get a little messy. Whether you're swinging by for a class, a custom order, or just to see what’s spinning, you'll be welcomed like family.
Because around here, pottery isn't just a craft. It’s a way of sharing life — one mug, bowl, or wobbly beginner piece at a time.
